SeaCraft® Introduces All-New SC23 Tournament Edition
Designed with the SKA Tournament Angler in mind
February 14, 2008 – Tournament anglers are tough on their gear. They push their fishing boats to the extreme as they seek out the next big catch. Inspired by anglers’ competitive spirit, need to run the largest engines and determination to tackle rough conditions, SeaCraft built the SC23 Tournament Edition. This is one lean, mean fishing machine is loaded with special tournament features that the SKA angler is sure to love.
The SC23 TE is 26’ 1” in length, but has a 21’ 3” length at waterline which qualifies it for the SKA Tournament trails. Engineers have taken the legendary SeaCraft performance hull with variable deadrise design and widened the strakes for increased lift and higher sheer line that increases bow flare and freeboard. This four-piece construction with hull, finished fiberglass foam-injected stringer grid, inner liner and deck combined with a 8’ 6” beam and 20-degree deadrise means the finest, rough-water ride that keeps anglers dry.
The SC23 TE offers a single-level cockpit sole from bow to stern. Among the other hull and deck standard features are an integrated port and starboard swim platform, telescoping boarding ladder, stainless steel eight-inch cleats, under-gunwale red/white LED courtesy lighting, recessed aluminum bow rails and a top-loading bow anchor locker with storage hanger. The cockpit is self-bailing and has a console that includes engine-specific digital gauges, compass, trim tab controls and an electronics mounting surface. The captain will enjoy the recessed footrest, stainless steel drink holders and a helm seat with cushions that convert to the leaning post. The leaning post includes three tackle storage compartments.
To satisfy the demands of the tournament angler, the SC23 TE has dual 172-quart in-floor fishboxes, a 40-gallon main baitwell plus a 20-gallon in-floor forward baitwell, a 5.5-gallon aft pitch well and fresh and raw water outlets. A custom SeaCraft SeaChest raw-water system, with high-speed flush intake, supplies submerged pumps with a reservoir of raw water to prevent airlocks or momentary loss in pressure due to high speeds or rough conditions. Gear can be stored in the forward floor storage compartments, two at 42-gallons and one at 57-gallons. Ten vertical rod holders are mounted on the sides of the console, and there are horizontal rod holders for up to 10’ fly rods. Secure, in-console storage is available for 7’ rods. The standard soft T-top with polished aluminum frames features spreader and courtesy lights, electronics box and six rod holders.
The SC23 TE has a minimum horsepower rating of 300 and a maximum horsepower rating of 500 and has a fuel capacity of 179-gallons. Optional features include: custom hardtop fiberglass T-Top with outriggers and Kingfish rod holders, removable five-rod transom rocket launcher, three-sided canvas T-Top enclosure, folding aft seat with stern bolster, AM/FM/CD with four speakers, Sirius Satellite stereo option and much more. Optional colors for the two-tone hull are White with Seafoam, White with Fighting Lady Yellow, White with Ice Blue, White with Millennium Red and White with Black or White with Mystic Blue.
