SeaCraft® Introduces All-New Offshore Family Sportfisher – the SC 26 Master Angler
February 14, 2008 – New for 2008, the SeaCraft SC26 Master Angler is a 26’ 1” high performance offshore family fishing platform. This spacious sportfisher with classic styling combines a no-nonsense, feature-rich layout with enhancements to its famously soft-riding hull to deliver the best in memorable offshore excursions.
The quality and refinement of of the SC26 Master Anglers’ upscale, four-piece construction is strengthened by the finished fiberglass stringer grid. The celebrated variable-plane hull with widened strakes delivers increased lift, impressive speed and handling capabilities along with a drier ride. The SC26 MA is rated for a minimum horsepower of 300 and maximum horsepower of 500 and has a fuel capacity of 179 gallons with optional 38-gallon auxiliary fuel supply. The 8’ 6” beam has an average deadrise of 20.5-degrees and a draft of 23-inches with the engines up.
The polished aluminum T-Top features spreader and courtesy lights, electronics box and six rod holders. The SC26 Master Angler is equipped with rod holders integrated into the leaning post backrest, horizontal rod racks for up to 10’ rods, dual 172-quart in-floor fishboxes, pressurized 40-gallon main baitwell with 20-gallon in-floor forward baitwell and forward in-floor storage compartments – two at 42-gallons and one at 57-galloons. The custom, high performance SeaCraft SeaChest raw-water system supplies submerged pumps with a reservoir of raw water to prevent airlocks or momentary loss in pressure due to high speeds in rough conditions.
Creature comforts are found throughout the boat, including integrated port and starboard swim platforms, fresh and raw water outlets, recessed footrest and drink holders. The SC26 Master Angler also comes standard with a stand-up head with porta potti in the console.
The captain will enjoy the professional helm seat that converts to a full size custom leaning post. The console includes engine-specific digital gauges and compass, trim tab controls, hydraulic steering, recessed switch panel with clear acrylic cover, electronics mounting surface and tempered safety glass windshield. The cockpit is self-bailing.
Mechanical features include dual bilge pumps with auto-float switches, durable military-spec breaker switches for fail-safe operation, battery switch panel, navigation lights, submersible connectors and fuel filters with water separators.
Among the numerous hull and deck features are a top-loading bow-anchor locker with storage hanger, recessed aluminum bow rails, stainless steel eight-inch cleats, under-gunwale Red/White LED courtesy lighting, stainless steel latches and hinges, stainless steel through-hull fittings above the waterline and deck hardware through-bolted or tapped through aluminum plates embedded in fiberglass.
Optional features for the SC26 Master Angler include: custom fiberglass hardtop with outriggers, electric head, removable rigging station, AM/FM/CD stereo with four-speakers, Sirius Satellite stereo option, powdercoat package (T-Top frame, windshield frame, bow rails, leaning post frame) and much more.
